March 16, 2016 / Thanks to WFMZ-TV 69News and reporter Jamie Stover, we have this great video clip of construction crews beginning work on STRATA II, a 67-unit expansion of City Center Lehigh Valley‘s upscale residential complex STRATA Flats at Four City Center.
The new building will be located at Sixth and Linden streets in Downtown Allentown. STRATA Flats, which opened in July 2015 with 170 luxury units, is now fully occupied with a waiting list of 60 names, prompting the new residential project. The five-story, approximately 100,000-square-foot building will provide such amenities as a game room, a movie theater room and a private courtyard. STRATA II residents will also have access to the amenities of STRATA Flats, which include a rooftop party deck, a fitness center and a community lounge. Like STRATA Flats’ entrance, the lobby of STRATA II will be on The ArtsWalk at City Center. The $23 million building is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2017.
STRATA II will offer eight arts-related retail spaces on the first floor, including a co-op gallery with works from local artists. The storefronts will be along The ArtsWalk at City Center and on Sixth Street across from Miller Symphony Hall.
